- DC Universe A Pierson's Puppeteer is shown as a member of the Green Lantern Corps in the graphic novel Ganthet's Tale, a story written by Niven.
- Doctor Who In the Doctor Who novel Invasion of the Cat-People, the Doctor lists a number of feline aliens races that inhabit the galaxy, including the Kzinti.
- Marvel Universe A Pierson's Puppeteer, one of the more prominent species of Known Space, is present at a state ball held by the alien Shi'ar Empress Lilandra in X-Men #125 (September 1979). N'rill'iree of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, introduced in Uncanny X-Men #155 (March 1982), is a member of the Kzinti, another prominent Known Space species.
- Star Trek The Slaver Weapon, an episode of Star Trek: The Animated Series, was adapted by Niven from his Known Space short story The Soft Weapon, and features the Kzinti taking on the Enterprise crew.
